We will review how to identify common local species, as well as ways to practice and connect with other trackers to improve your skills.

Class sites vary to give a range of habitats and species, and continue through all seasons.

This workshop is entirely outdoors. There will be copies of my favorite local guidebook available for use during the workshop. Please dress for moving slowly in cold weather, and feel free to bring a hot drink and snacks!

Discover the secret lives of white-tailed deer as you practice basic trailing skills on our local deer. You may have seen these local critters in your yard or the local park, but how well do you know them? Learn about their natural history and their rhythms through the seasons, the sign left on the landscape through their behaviors, and practice basic trailing skills to locate a fresh trail, follow the deer’s path, and find the animal. You’ll walk away with skills to practice, as well as resources to support your journey in uncovering the lives of animals on our shared landscape.
