The Secret Lives of Deer

Discover the secret lives of white-tailed deer as you practice basic tracking skills with our local deer. You may have seen these local critters in your yard or the local park, but how well do you know them? Learn about their natural history and their rhythms through the seasons, the sign left on the landscape through their behaviors, and practice locating a fresh trail and following the deer’s path. If we’re lucky, we may even see the animal. You’ll walk away with skills to practice, as well as resources to support your journey in uncovering the lives of animals on our shared landscape.
This class is entirely outdoors. Please dress for the weather!
